Two Custom Hand Rails Built for a Lakeside Stone Path

Stone paths on a slope look great - until they start shifting. That's exactly what was happening here. The steps had become uneven over time, and navigating them without something to grab onto had turned into a real safety concern. The homeowners needed a practical fix that didn't feel out of place in a lush, natural setting.

We built and installed two custom metal rails to handle two separate sections of the property. Each one was designed to follow the grade of the path and give people something solid to hold onto. The green powder coat finish was a deliberate choice - it blends right into the surrounding ferns and greenery rather than sticking out like a sore thumb.

What makes a job like this tricky is that you're not working with a standard set of poured concrete steps. Natural stone is irregular. The spacing between steps changes.
