Custom Planter Boxes Built from Reclaimed Roofing Metal for a Local Nursery

We built these planter boxes for a local nursery using reclaimed roofing material - corrugated galvanized panels that would have otherwise been tossed. That's kind of the whole point. Good metal doesn't need to end up in a dumpster.

The corrugated sides give each box a raw, industrial texture that you just can't fake with new materials. We framed them out with welded steel edges to keep everything square and tight. The finished corners are clean and solid - built to hold up with soil, weight, and weather over time.

What makes a project like this work is knowing how to read salvaged material. Not every piece of reclaimed metal is usable, and part of our job is figuring out what has life left in it. These panels did. We cut them down, framed them up, and turned them into something the nursery could actually use - both as functional display pieces and as part of their overall aesthetic.

That's really what custom fabrication is about. It's not always a big structural job. Sometimes it's just a solid idea, the right material, and someone who knows how to put it together properly.
