Stock plastic bumpers have one job - look decent until they don't. Crack them once, and you're either hunting for an expensive OEM replacement or living with a busted front end. This Nissan Frontier came in with exactly that problem, and we decided a bolt-on replacement wasn't the right answer.
What we built instead is a full custom steel front bumper - fabricated from scratch to fit the truck properly and actually hold up to real use. The design keeps weight in check without sacrificing strength. You can see the clean perforated mesh insert across the face, which keeps airflow moving to the radiator while giving the whole thing a purposeful, aggressive look. Nothing about it is an afterthought.
The fabrication process is the kind of work we genuinely enjoy. Steel plate, square tube, perforated mesh - all cut, fitted, and welded together on-site using our Miller welder. Every angle and corner on this bumper was dialed in so it sits flush and tight against the truck. That's the part most people don't think about - fitment. A bumper that doesn't sit right stands out immediately, and not in a good way.
The finished product is powder-coated black, which gives it protection against the wet Pacific Northwest weather we deal with up here in Bellingham. It looks factory-intentional on the truck. More importantly, it's steel - so the next time something hits it, the bumper wins. That's the whole point of this kind of custom fabrication and equipment modification work.
If your truck has a plastic bumper that's seen better days, or you just want something built tougher than what came stock, this is the kind of work we do. No two builds are exactly the same, and that's what makes it worth doing right.
